The Conjuring 3 (2018) Streaming
Ah, The Conjuring 3. Or should I say, The Devil Made Me Do It. Remember that one? It's been a minute, hasn't it? The third installment of our favorite ghost-hunting couple, Ed and Lorraine Warren. You know, the ones who always seem to find the most… interesting cases. This time around, it’s less haunted house, more courtroom drama with a demonic twist. And honestly? I kind of loved it.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. "But it wasn't as scary!" "Where were the creepy dolls?" "It felt different!" And you’re not wrong. It was different. The scares were more… psychological. More about the possession and the legal fallout. Not your typical jump scares every five minutes. But sometimes, a little change of pace is a good thing, right?
I mean, let's be real. After two films of the Warrens going into creaky old houses, facing off against angry spirits and possessed children, you start to wonder, "What’s next?" And apparently, what’s next is a murder trial where the defense is "the devil made me do it." Talk about a headline!
We got to see Ed (played by the ever-reliable Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (the always brilliant Vera Farmiga) grapple with something a little more complex than just exorcising a demon. This time, they’re dealing with the aftermath. The real messy stuff. The kind of stuff that makes you sweat in a courtroom, not just in a dark attic.
And the case itself? It’s based on a true story. Well, as true as these things get. A young man named Arne Johnson claims he was possessed by a demon when he committed murder. Seriously. You can’t make this stuff up. And the Warrens are there, trying to prove that possession is real. It’s a wild ride, folks.

Personally, I found the shift in focus quite refreshing. It explored the human element of these paranormal investigations. What happens to the people after the exorcism? What are the long-term effects? It wasn't just about the monsters in the shadows; it was about the demons within and the societal chaos they can create.
Did it have the same chilling atmosphere as the first two? Maybe not. Was it packed with the same kind of iconic scares? Probably not. But it offered something else. A different flavor of horror. A more grounded, albeit still supernatural, exploration of faith, doubt, and the blurry lines between good and evil.

So, if you haven’t seen The Conjuring 3 yet, or if you’ve dismissed it because it wasn’t what you expected, I urge you to give it another chance. Stream it. Watch it with an open mind. Forget about what the others say. Let the devil make you do it. You might be surprised. You might even, dare I say it, enjoy the ride. It's a fun little detour in the haunted highway of the Conjuring universe. Sometimes, you just need a good ol' fashioned legal battle with a dash of demonic possession. What’s not to love?

So go on, find it streaming. Grab your popcorn. And let the Warrens convince you that the devil really did make them do it. Or at least, made Arne do it. Either way, it’s a story worth watching. And who knows, maybe after watching, you’ll be a little more understanding of those who claim they’ve been possessed. Or at least, you’ll have a new defense for your next parking ticket. Just kidding… mostly.
