Game Of Throne Saison 5 Episode 7

Game Of Throne Saison 5 Episode 7

Ah, Game of Thrones. This show. Always something to talk about, n'est-ce pas ? Today, we're diving into one of those episodes that made us all scratch our heads a little. You know the one. The one with all the… events.

Let's talk about Season 5, Episode 7. Yes, THAT one. Remember it? It had a bit of a reputation, shall we say. Some people called it shocking. Others called it… well, other things we won't repeat here. But for us, the ordinary viewers, it was mostly just… a lot.

So, the dragons. Where are they? Seriously, Daenerys. We get it, ruling is tough. But maybe a little fire-breathing action could spice things up? Just a thought. Imagine her in Meereen, just casually roasting some pigeons to impress the locals. Much more efficient than all those council meetings.

And then there's Jon Snow. Poor Jon. Always doing the right thing, always getting the short end of the stick. He’s at the Wall, being all noble. Then he’s… well, let’s just say he’s dealing with some very enthusiastic colleagues. Sometimes you just want to tell him, "Jon, maybe take a nap? Or a vacation? Anywhere without ice and betrayals."

Meanwhile, across the Narrow Sea, we have our favorite Lannisters. Or, the ones that are left, anyway. Cersei is having a rough time. She’s in that… predicament. Honestly, you have to admire her resilience. Or maybe her stubbornness. It’s a fine line. And Jaime, bless his heart, is trying to be a good person. It’s a journey, isn't it? A very long, complicated journey.

But the real star of this episode, for me at least, was the sheer speed at which things happened. One minute, you're enjoying a quiet scene with some characters you’ve grown to… tolerate. The next, BAM! Major plot twist. It’s like trying to follow a toddler through a toy store. You blink, and they’re somewhere else entirely, covered in glitter and holding a suspiciously large candy bar.

My unpopular opinion? This episode felt like the writers were playing a game of "How much can we shock the audience before they riot?" And you know what? They did a pretty good job. It kept us talking, that's for sure. We’d gather around the water cooler (or the virtual water cooler, these days) and be like, "Did you SEE that?!"

And let's not forget the… Meryn Trant situation. Oh, Meryn. Some people might have found it… intense. But let's be honest, for many of us, it was a moment of pure, unadulterated catharsis. Sometimes, you just need to see a certain character get their comeuppance, even if it’s delivered in a… unique way. It’s the little victories, right?

So, Season 5, Episode 7. A whirlwind. A rollercoaster. A really, really long episode. It might not be everyone's favorite for sentimental reasons. But for sheer, unbridled, sometimes bewildering entertainment? It definitely delivered. And isn't that what we’re here for? To be entertained? Even if it means a few sleepless nights pondering the fate of Westeros and the questionable life choices of its inhabitants.

Next time, maybe just send Jon a pizza and tell him to stay home. He’s earned it.

Anyway, cheers to the episode that gave us so much to discuss, so much to gasp at, and so many memes. We wouldn't have it any other way. Probably. Maybe.
